The Stokkermill ZZ series Zig-Zag Air Separators were developed to remove the light fraction from heterogeneous materials using a countercurrent airflow within a zig-zag duct. They are typically installed after crushing or grinding processes to improve the quality of the output material.

These separators are especially effective for cleaning crushing residues such as ASR (car fluff), Zurik, and Zorba, and for separating heavy copper and aluminum fractions in cable recycling. They are ideal for any process requiring the removal of lighter components.

ZZ series Zig-Zag Air Separators can be installed on request with Turboflex series granulators and are fully integrated into Multi-Flex Turbo Zig-Zag series granulators.
