Stainless steel separator inox | SS100
Separate stainless steel particles from pre-treated materials, aluminium inox
The Stokkermill SS100 Stainless Steel Separator is designed to separate stainless steel particles from pre-processed materials, making it ideal for recycling and recovery of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE), car fluff (ASR), Zurik, Zorba, and crushing residues.
The SS100 is also widely used in plastic recycling and regeneration, where removing metal and ferrous impurities is critical to protect extrusion and molding processes.
Available in multiple sizes and magnetic field strengths, the SS100 can be configured in cascade systems to meet extremely high purity standards. Its high coercive force allows separation of small stainless steel parts down to 0,12–0,20 in.
Separating stainless steel is challenging because its alloy is protected by a thin oxide layer. During processes such as granulation, shredding, or impact, the layer may break, making the stainless steel weakly magnetic. This allows the SS100’s magnetic cylinder to capture the particles under specific conditions. Smaller fragments reduce magnetic attraction, so the best results are achieved with particles ≥1 mm. Maximum efficiency occurs within 10 mm of the magnetic cylinder, so proper material distribution in a thin layer on the cylinder is essential.
The SS100 is equipped with a vibrating feed table to spread material evenly over the cylinder, ensuring optimal separation. With its precision design, the Stokkermill SS100 reliably separates stainless steel from recycled materials while protecting downstream processes and maintaining high output purity.
